*Luna is quite scared for humans. We therefor prefer to bring her to a foster family first or a very experienced adopter. She needs special care that will help her to gain trust, overcome fears, learns how to live in a house and be loved. Do you think you can help? Please reach out!

Luna is very sensitive and has a hard time in the shelter

Our dear Luna has been in the shelter all her life. Except for the time when she had an injury to her neck. Of course she could not stay in the shelter like that. She therefore stayed in a home temporarily. But after that she had to return to the shelter and of course she didn’t like that at all! She still doesn’t, to be fair. She now had a sneak peak on what real life is like and surely likes to see more of it. Can’t blame her!

Luna is very social with other dogs and had a great time with her brothers. Someone with a lovely family dog (that is not too energetic) would be great for her, but she can certainly be placed alone as well. As long as she gets enough personal attention! Luna has a calm character and is very affectionate towards both humans and dogs. She would love an owner who loves to cuddle just like she does! We don’t know if Luna can be placed with cats. This has never been tested, but we surely can test it when needed.

We are looking for a home without children. Kids are too energetic to her liking and she is afraid of them. The house should have a garden with a very secure fence. She tends to escape. In the shelter, for example, she escapes from the kennels without a roof. So this also means that she can’t go off leash in the beginning. You need to make sure to bond with her first.

As you can read she still has a number of uncertainties that require proper guidance.

But in the end Luna wants to be loved as well. She wants to have nice walks together in the woods or across the fields, peaceful rest at home in a soft bed and with a chewy bone. This is definitely Luna’s dream life and we hope we can realize this soon.
